- “Bye, Judy! I love you!”
- ―Cotton
Cotton Hopps[1] is a young female rabbit and a minor character in Zootopia. She is Judy Hopps' favorite paternal niece[1] and a member of the Hopps family.
Physical Appearance[]
Cotton is a little rabbit with cream-colored fur and large green eyes. Her outfit consists of a dress with a blue bodice sporting a pink star and a pink skirt.
Role in the Film[]
Cotton is first seen near the beginning of the film cheering and clapping for Judy during Judy's graduation ceremony. When Judy is assigned to Precinct One, Cotton can't contain her excitement and does a little shimmy dance while sticking out her tongue, still cheering for her. Later, she is seen standing next to Pop-Pop at the Bunnyburrow train station as Bonnie and Stu Hopps distribute their gifts for Judy.
As Judy boards the train to Zootopia and waves goodbye, Cotton joins Bonnie and Stu in waving back, calling out, "Bye, Judy! I love you!" and even starts to run alongside the train until it pulls away.
Trivia[]
- Cotton's name is never spoken in the film, but the captioning for it cites her as Cotton.
- Cotton is seen with Judy in a picture on the lock screen of Judy's phone. The same picture is also in a frame in Judy's room.
- It is never specified which of Judy's siblings is either of Cotton's parents.
- In every scene in which Cotton appears, she has the shortest ears out of all her siblings and cousins.
- Although Cotton speaks briefly in the film as Judy leaves Bunnyburrow on the train, Cotton is not listed in the end credits so her voice actress is unknown and is likely one of the "Additional Voices" listed in the credits.
